Believe in yourself

 I can do all things through [a]Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Over the years as a Christian, I’ve come to realize that most times I have limited myself and God’s blessing on my life because of my lack of belief in myself. I remember once I had this product I was going to sell but I did not put it out in the market because I kept telling myself it wasn’t good enough. Even though I did not put the product out, I had a few clients that asked if I had a product like that, I said yes and actually made some sales. You would think that being able to sell the product even though it wasn’t on display would make me see the demand and the value of what I had. I still did not put the product out for sale. Fast forward a few months afterward, I came across a similar product but of a much lower value and a higher price. The product was put on sale and was being bought by people. 

I was amazed, not at the fact that a product with a low quality could be sold but I was surprised at my level of unbelief. I had limited myself because I did not believe in my product, I had deprived others of the benefits of my product because of my unbelief. I had shut the door to the blessings that God was set to bring into my life via that channel because of my unbelief. the lesson was clear, it’s one thing to believe in God, it’s another to believe in yourself. 

As Christians, our challenge most times is not our faith in God but our belief in ourselves. Paul says in our text today, I CAN DO…. Do you believe you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you? Do you believe you can birth the dream God placed in your heart as He strengthens you? Do you believe you can advance in your career, business, and finances through Christ who strengthens you? Do you believe you can fulfill your purpose and enjoy this life you’ve been given through Christ who strengthens you? 

Most times we would like God to show up but we do not believe He can show up through us. We pray for healing but never have the courage to lay hands on the sick because somewhere in our hearts we don’t believe God can heal through our hands. After the incident with the product, i made up my mind to believe in God’s power at work in me, i decided i will celebrate the skills and abilities God has placed in me, i will acknowledge and use every single one of them. I have put out my products, I will execute the ideas God has given me because I have decided to believe the truth – I CAN, because of God’s strength in me

Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Ephesians 3:20

Yes, you can, you can do all things because there is a power at work in you. You can do whatever you set your heart to because there is one that strengthens you. Don’t limit God, don’t waste the opportunities and ideas He’s given you because of a lack of belief in yourself. Believe in yourself. YES, YOU CAN
